65daysofstatic
replicr, 2019

replicr, 2019 is the seventh album in the near 20 year career of Sheffield experimentalists, 65daysofstatic. The album is at once a continuation and evolution for the band. It follows their score for the game No Man’s Sky, which caused them to think differently about the way they made music, building their own synths, software and way of writing.

Rooney
Washed Away

R-OO-N-EY! Should he be played up front or at the top of a diamond formation in midfield? He’s certainly made that position his own in recent years and at the end of the day, he’s got to be England’s future. Although this Rooney seem to be an indie-pop band from LA who have teen-friendly pop for you to jump around during a pillow fight to. It’s jangly pop with catchy chorus’ at its finest. The album’s called Washed Away - just what the defence will be like with our Wayne coming at them. Ye.

Three Trapped Tigers
Silent Earthling

It has taken Three Trapped Tigers a long time to release a second full-length album, but it seems the wait allowed them to get deep into their sound and produce some extra-strong work. Lots of highly-technical instrumental involutions, but without forgetting the tunes. Co-produced with Brian Eno and Karl Hyde of Underworld, Silent Earthling is released by Superball Music.

Conrad Keely
Original Machines

...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead singer and guitarist Conrad Keely releases a double vinyl LP and CD on Superball Music. Original Machines is Keely’s first release and displays his distinctive guitar playing, and singing, in new contexts. Here the arrangements are more elaborate and influenced by his love of folk music. The deluxe CD also has additional demos, unreleased material and 52 pages of original artwork from Keely.

And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead
IX

Indie rock band and prog revisionists And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead are back with another entry into their prolific and long-winded discography. 'IX' is their first record in two years, which doesn't seem like a lot, but totally is for this band. If you're looking to have that ecstatic and bombastic sound mixed into your indie rock soup, then fret not: they're back.
