Cardiacs
Heaven Born and Ever Bright

Heaven Born and Ever Bright by Cardiacs was originally released in 1992 on Rough Trade, shortly before the label went bust. This had an effect on the album’s initial impact as well as it not being particularly well received by critics. Cardiacs' main man Tim Smith would, if pushed, always tell you that this is his favourite album by the band, however, as it is exactly as he intended it to be and therefore will defend it to the hilt. Reissue LP on Alphabet Business Concern.

Cardiacs
Sing To God

Some people rate Sing To God as one of Cardiacs’ very greatest albums, and who are we to disagree? It is certainly a potent proposition, being a nearly 90 minute long double album, crammed with eclectic material: really it feels like the band is throwing everything into the mix, and yet almost all of it sticks! Big and lovely double LP reissue from the Alphabet Business Concern.

Cardiacs
Guns

Guns was the 8th album by Cardiacs. It was their last album with multi instrumentalist, Jon Poole, who went to play bass with The Wildhearts. The most interesting fact about this album is that the lyrics were written using the cut-up method (a technique also employed by David Bowie and William Burroughs) using the screenplay of the Robert Mitchum film, Night Of The Hunter and a rather inaccurate Portuguese to English phrasebook as source material. Reissue vinyl LP on The Alphabet Business Concern.
