Chris Robinson Brotherhood
Servants Of The Sun

Following the break-up of The Black Crowes, singer Chris Robinson, formed blues rock band, The Chris Robinson Brotherhood. The band have now clocked up 6 albums in 8 years and are on track to be way more prolific than the band he is best known for. Servants of the Sun is their latest long player. On Megaforce.

Meat Puppets
Dusty Notes

The Meat Puppets are unique for two reasons. 1) They had really long hair but were good. 2) They made a kind of roots - influenced rock but were also good. This is their (oh I don't know) billionth album and it's perfectly titled for the kind of music they make. Leader Curt Kirkwood's son is involved making this a right family affair along with his dad and uncle. A nice family business.

Holly Golightly & The Brokeoffs
Clippety Clop

Got some good press releases to work off today.... this one says simply "new album from Holly Golightly & The Brokeoffs". Great. Ok then it's got a horse on the cover and Holly Golightly is actually her real name. Her mother named her after the Breakfast At Tiffany's character. She has played with Billy Childish and has become something of a garage rock legend over the years.

Chris Robinson Brotherhood
Barefoot In The Head

We sold a magnificent zero copies of the previous Chris Robinson and the Brotherhood album but we are nothing if not loyal to the former Counting Crows man. This is his third collection in two years and further pushes the musical envelope into country, blues, psychedelia and '60s inspired folk music.

Chris Robinson Brotherhood
If You Lived Here, You Would Be Home By Now

I always wondered about those signs usually seen on US highways. But what if you weren't travelling home? You wouldn't exactly want to be back home would you? Aaaaanyway 'If You Lived Here You Would Be Home By Now' is the title of the new record by Black Crow Chris Robinson and his Brotherhood. It was recorded at the same time as his last LP 'Any Way You Love, We Know How You Feel' and is probably worth a vinyl purchase to hang the album sleeve of four staring beards on your wall.
