Susumu Yokota
Cloud Hidden

Five years after his untimely passing, some lost Susumu Yokota works are compiled into an album of unreleased recordings from the Japanese master. Rothko's Mark Beazley found a DAT tape of early sketches and unreleased recordings Yokota had sent him. Lo Recordings honcho Jon Tye then did the decent thing and completed the recordings. Cue champagne all round and an unexpected addition to Yokota's esteemed back catalogue.

Private Agenda
Île de Rêve

Debut album from London/Berlin-based duo Private Agenda. After putting out a string of EPs on various different imprints, like Lo Recordings and International Feel, Île de Rêve takes its inspiration from a utopian version of island life. More centred on instruments than lyrics, the album is an immersive Balearic-infused daydream from start to finish. CD release includes tracks from the group’s most recent EP Aura.

Hatchback
Year of The Dragon

After seven years away Sam Grawe’s Hatchback project returns with its third full-length record. As with previous LPs Colors Of The Sun and Zeus & Apollo, Year Of The Dragon is an electronic music album full of bright colours and textures. Tracks like ‘Haiphong Boogie’ are burbling delights that bring to mind the releases of labels like Mood Hut, Second Circle and Smalltown Supersound. As it is, this one’s out on Lo Recordings (Grimes, Ceephax Acid Crew).

LOR
Lunar Orbit Rendezvous

With a strictly space-mission themed aesthetic, Lunar Orbit Rendezvous by LOR tracks a space journey with electronic music that combines modern techno and deep house with touches of vintage Kraftwerk (check some of those vocoders!). Who are LOR? It doesn’t matter, because this is music that feels like it can thrive in deep space with no need for human interaction. On Lo Recordings.

SMBD
Messages 045 EP

Soulful producer SMBD presents three new tracks and one new remix of one of those new tracks by new artist World Air. The Messages 045 EP is a shiny-bright good time thing made for dancing and smiles, particularly in the case of the track ‘Ping Pong Love’, which features a distant echoed sample of what sounds like an Arthur Russell voice. 12” on Lo Recordings.
