The Starries
Years Are Here

Bearos bring us 2 new singles this week. First up is a single by The Starries which is kind of punky, rocky and poppy kids. Years Are here is pub rock type gear. ...view item »

The Workhouse
The End of The Pier

The debut CD from The Workhouse is here at last. I think this is a corking record. Its this years Explosions in the Sky. It takes your Mogwai (with a hint of Cocteau Twins) blueprint that many a post-rock outfit uses but instead of retreading the same old paths,  it concocts so...view item »

Ben Calvert

Ben Calvert releases a 7" called The State of Travel EP and it's very Nick Drake/ Belle & Sebastian singer songwriter acoustic folky type stuff....view item »

The Regulars

The Regulars have one of those limited jobs out on Bearos, limited to 100 copies. As is the case with these, we can't play it cos it's held together with card, plastic & staples. I do like it though.... quite a lot...view item »

This stuff is much more other worldy, songs that make you think of enchanted forests (Dunstan Thorne,) a killer track about a break up that just makes you want to dance (...view item »

The Workhouse

THE WORKHOUSE have a new album out on Bearos Records called Flyover. I've heard this a few times now and it's a total grower as the more I hear it the more the goodness seeps through to my fat ears into my musical receptor in my brain... which converts it into smiles and goose pimples. It's good to have them back in my life.......view item »

Papa November
From The Start Line

Papa November seems to be fairly poor trip hop lite and something resembling a bad version of the last Goldfrapp album. From The Start Line is CD only on Bearos....view item »

Kluster B/ The J Foundation

First up is a split single The J Foundation and Kluster B which is folks from Jameson I think. Tis a jazz odyssey in the truest sense of the words. Quite summerry and lovely sounding on the J Foundation side with the second track being more electronic. Kluster B is is funky and ele...view item »
