Current 93
Black Ships Heat The Dancefloor

The tracks are destined, as the title suggests, strictly for the dancefloor - from the hard industrial cyber slabs of Foetus’s reworkings to Matmos’s more house-based interpretations.

Chris Connelly
Forgiveness & Exile

The Scottish singer-songwriter drifts ever further from his industrial roots (Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Pigface) with this song cycle concerning the experiences of immigrants in the United States. The album nevertheless retains the confrontational realism characteristic of industrial music, with Connelly turning an unflinching eye on painful reality, even as he swathes the songs in dark blue atmospheres with the aid of co-producers Ben Vida (Town & Country, Bird Show) and Tim Kinsella. Features guest contributions from Current 93 founder and Durtro boss David Tibet and Garbage’s Shirley Manson among others.

Bill Fay
Tomorrow Tomorrow & Tomorrow

Made available once again by longtime fan David Tibet’s Durtro/Jnana imprint, Tomorrow, Tomorrow & Tomorrow was intended as the third Bill Fay album following semi-legendary apocalyptic folk template Time Of The Last Persecution (1971). Nevertheless, it remained unreleased until 2005. It’s a low-key, contemplative affair which finds wayward talent Fay backed by Gary Smith (guitar), Rauf Galip (bowed bass) and Bill Stratton (drums) who fold in elements of jazz and progressive rock alongside the songwriter's characteristically open-hearted vocals and lyricism.
