What's Dan Snaith up to these days? Still raking in the sweet $$ from 'Can't do without you'? Well he's got enough to revive the party-hard Daphni moniker for a Fabriclive mix solely consisting of exclusive new Daphni material that'll have Keiran Hebden blushing with midtempo jealousy. Considering there hasn't been any new Daphni stuff since 201...view item »

Various / Call Super
Fabric 92: Call Super

Call Super has received the call to step up to the mark of Fabric’s legendary mix-CD series, and he’s delivered in full. The idea here was to capture something of the mood that settles into the club just after peak hours have passed, making this mix as well suited for dreaming as for dancing. Features tracks by the l...view item »

Kahn & Neek
FABRICLIVE 90: Kahn & Neek

Bristolian grime producers Kahn and Neek have been set for (grime)world domination since dropping that Percy/Fierce 12” on bandulu in 2012. Creating other guises alongside, such as the dub heavy Gorgon Sound, they are now next in line for the FabricLive mix series. Features a few ...view item »

Fabric 90: Scuba

It feels like Scuba must be going for some kind of record for his installment of the legendary Fabric mix CD series: he flies through 42 tracks over the course of the CD’s running time. That requires wild cutting-together skills as well as a knack for selections: producers here include Pearson Sound...view item »

Mumdance x Novelist / Jefre Cantu-Ledesma
FABRICLIVE 80: Mumdance - Album Sampler 1

The Fabriclive format of carefully selected DJ sets from skilled producers is a very strong one, a CD packed with excellent tracks. But it would be criminal not to give tracks exclusive to the compilations a proper vinyl release wouldn’t it? Hence this 10” of Mumdance x Novelist and Jefre Cantu-Ledes...view item »

Acre / Fis
FABRICLIVE 80: Mumdance - Album Sampler 2

The Fabriclive format of carefully selected DJ sets from skilled producers is a great thing, but it would be criminal not to give tracks exclusive to the CD compilations a proper vinyl release wouldn’t it? Hence this 10” of Acre and Fis’s tracks from the forthcoming Fabriclive 80: ...view item »

Sandwell District
Fabric 69: Sandwell District

Techno at 8.30 in the morning. Well unless you are our Brian on one of his marathon good time japes, then its a fairly alien concept. I’ve just had an enormous bowl of porridge and am settling down to this superb compilation of the very best of the legendary Sandwell District imprint (comprisin...view item »

Various / Pinch

Well we've got a promo of this but it's got those twatty promo voiceovers all over it which makes listening to it rather irritating. Also we've lost the remote control for the CD player and as I'm nearly 40 years old and incredibly lazy I refuse to get up to flip through the 22 tracks her...view item »

Various / Four Tet

Yes, he's clubland royalty now is our Kieran H. It's a strange thing to admit for me personally but at this year's Bloc Weekender in Minehead, this lanky fuzzy haired London scamp blew my very own Aphex Twin (I own him, I do) right off stage with a thrillin...view item »

Fabric 55: Shackleton

I wonder how long it will be before this lad develops the internationally renowned nickname Shaky? The two folks I've encountered with that nickname have been an utterly hateful man with DT's who was once a manager where I worked & that karaoke Cliff/Elvis hybrid with over-tight jeans who ultimately became a classic Viz parody!! Sam Shacklet...view item »

Fabric 53

It's hard to believe that this is only Surgeon's second ever mix CD. He used to put out a fair amount of records back in the late 90's but really not much at all these days. This is a welcome selection mixing up 30 tracks, presumably in Ableton. It's a heady mix of techno and UK bass music expertly blended. Surgeon really knows how to construct ...view item »

Buraka Som Sistema
Sound Of Kuduro ep ft DJ Znobia, MIA, Saborosa &; Puto Prata

This 'Sound of Kuduro' track from Buraka Som Sistema has been around for ages but it's still a booty shakin' club monster with its hyperactive shuffle beats, ultraquick vocals and an amped-up MIA careening in for the chorus. I've not heard anything more instant to come out of this whole Kuduro business (not that I've got a record collection full of...view item »
