John Coltrane's quest to use up all melody ever continued on 'Blue Paris', a live record that depicts his work with the often avant-garde and free-form Eric Dolphy (famous for his jazz masterpiece 'Out To Lunch'). Their work together ranged a variety of fusion sounds; as Coltrane worked through Indian music and classical, Dolphy was also interested in pushing the limits of sound, even within his already experimental jazz regions. This record depicts the two sax players -- tenor and soprano for Coltrane, alto for Dolphy -- dueling it out.

Howlin’ Rain are the kind of band that Uncut magazine love. Their music draws its influences from classic ‘60s and ‘70s rock such as The Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Allman Brothers, Blue Cheer and Bob Dylan, along with the writing of Richard Brautigan. Their debut, self-titled album was originally released in 2006. Although the band’s sound is synonymous with crackly vinyl, this is the first time it has been released in said format. LP on Silver Current Records.
