Lea Bertucci
Acoustic Shadows

Acoustic Shadows was initially an event which took place in the body of the Deutzer Bridge in Koln, Germany in 2018. The sound installation which lasted over a week was then edited down by artist and composer Lea Bertucci to form this LP featuring segments of the results. But it didn't stop there, they've actually made a sample library of the sounds for other musicians to use. A fascinating sounding project.

London Contemporary Orchestra
Giacinto Scelsi: String Trio

The London Contemporary Orchestra (here consisting of the trio of Galya Bisengalieva (violin) Robert Ames (viola) Max Ruisi (cello)) here look back at the work of Italian composer Giacinto Scelsi - a mysterious and somewhat Salinger-esque character. His reclusiveness means that he is relatively little known but his work has gone on to influence the likes of Ennio Morricone. A perfect chance to find out what he was all about.

Alex Epton featuring Lucinda Chua
3OHA (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

SA Recordings present the soundtrack to Clayton Vomero’s ‘3OHA’ (or ‘Zona’ in English), featuring original music by classically trained jazz musician Alex Epton and singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lucinda Chua. The film was shot on location in Russia and Ukraine, revealing the outsider lives of young people in Kiev, Moscow, Vladimir and St. Petersburg. Part docufilm, part archival history lesson and part impressionistic emotional evocation, ‘3OHA’ explores elements of 20th century soviet culture and history, now diffracted through the cracked lens of western capitalist consumerism.

Alev Lenz

An acclaimed collaborator (Anoushka Shankar on the Grammy-nominated album Land of Gold) and with contributions to the ‘Black Mirror’ soundtrack behind her, it’s a great time for Alev Lenz to return to her solo career. '3' deals with relationships, parenthood and the patriarchy. In addition to the record Lenz has collaborated with Spitfire Audio to create a sample library of patches inspired by Lenz’s sound.
