Daniel Hecht

'Guitar' by Daniel Hecht was originally released in 1973. This is an album of beautifully-played instrumental acoustic guitar pieces (what else?) inspired by both classical guitarist Andrés Segovia and acoustic bluesman Mississippi John Hurt. Hecht wrote and recorded the record whilst living in a commune and growing his own food, a situation which must surely have inspired the peaceful-sounding music. If you like guitarists such as John Fahey and Robbie Basho, then you should check this out.

Barry Cleveland
Stones of Precious Water

Barry Cleveland made his new age/ambient compositions back in the early '80s and released Stones of Precious Water in 1986. The album blends ambience, new age, kosmishe and jazzy progressive sounds into a gently undulating whole in which every part was played by Cleveland himself.  First time pressing for this lesser heard masterpiece courtesy of Morning Trip.

Karma Moffett
Sitting Still Within / Sitting Still Without

Sitting Still Within / Sitting Still Without by Karma Moffet was originally released in 1982. The album was at the forefront of the growing New Age movement in the early ‘80s. Moffet was a pioneer in the genre, but not for his use of new available technology, more for not using it and getting new sounds from field recordings and ancient instruments such as Tibetan bowls and bells.
