Erland Cooper
Sule Skerry

The sea. Really big isn't it? And sort of flappy. Living in Orkland Erland Cooper knows all about the sea and has decided to make his second album all about the great big wet thing. Previous album Solan Goose (all about the goose?) got all kind of plaudits from the likes of the Quietus, 6 Music etc so expect this one to do the same...but wetter.

Erland Cooper
Hether Blether

Scottish multi-instrumentalist Gawain Erland Cooper releases the third instalment in a trilogy of LPs which are thematically informed by the geography and history of the Orkney Islands, where he grew up. Hether Blether takes the landscape of the islands as its inspiration, conjuring up a atmospheric mixture of words, imagery and sound.

Stray Ghost
A Shade Under Thirty

Stray Ghost, a.k.a., Anthony Saggers is now over 30, which is super old. Most likely, he made latest album A Shade Under Thirty while still under 30. Having chewed the fat with Highpoint Lowlife, Time Released Sound, 1631 and others, Saggers now brings his romantic, windswept piano plodathons to London label Phases.

Neil Cowley Trio
Spacebound Tapes

Neil Cowley was inspired by the Sci-Fi of Arthur C Clarke -- particularly his 1956 novel 'The City and the Stars' -- when he grouped his trio together to record their 'Spacebound Apes' LP in 2016. Now, a quartet of top-notch electronic producers have been commissioned to remix a track each from the album, each in their own unique styles. The results, on Spacebound Tapes are even more interstellar than the original tracks. Rival Consoles, Throwing Snow, Christian Loffler and Vessels all bring in the spacey bleeps, pulsing beats and galactic keyboard fun.
