Tullycraft
The Railway Prince Hotel

Probably the best way to gauge your interest in Tullycraft is your reaction to hearing they've released a song called 'Fuck Me, I'm Twee'. That song does not feature on their seventh album, The Railway Prince Hotel, but its sentiment most assuredly does. Sugary twee indie pop delivery as effectively as you could possible want.

Kristin Hersh
Wyatt at the Coyote Palace

Kristin Hersh (of Throwing Muses and 50 Foot Wave) hereby releases her tenth album as a solo artist. And it's a big one. Wyatt at the Coyote Palace is a double record (featuring twenty-four tracks) written and recorded over the last five years. As rich and personal as anything by Hersh. Double LP on the Happy Happy Birthday To Me label.

Kleenex Girl Wonder
Vana Mundi

Kleenex Girl Wonder is the musical project of Chicago-born Graham Smith. Now based in New York, Smith is the only consistent member of the band, but he’s supported by a revolving cast of musicians. Umpteenth album, Vana Mundi, see’s Smith at his most melodic and most lyrically profound. It’s probably his best album yet. LP on HHBTM.

His Name Is Alive
Black Wings

I can't pinpoint the exact moment His Name Is Alive got inspired by Hawkwind and Rush but I kinda sometimes wish it hadn't have happened.  This Detroit collective have been putting out wildly varied records since 1986 and kinda do what the hell they like. This latest opus is a 30 track ride through acapella vocals, psych riffs, prog insanity and everything in between.

Tunabunny
PCP Presents Alice In Wonderland JR

If listeners can't even get through a 30 second stream then what chance has anyone got of getting though a full double album? Well Athens experimental rock group  Tunabunny say 'pah' to short attention spans and release a 75 minute double album that rivals the White album for scope and ambition. All killer and filler (probably) but we'll be putting two hours aside to wade through.

Fred Schneider and the Superions
The Vertical Mind

Fred Schneider is of course known to us all as a member of party-starters The B-52s, but here he is backed by his new group The Superions. The Vertical Mind is also stacked with party power though, being a wryly amused set of pop-disco-new wave thrillers. Good fun stuff, released by Happy Happy Birthday To Me.
