Soundwalk Collective
Death Must Die

Soundwalk Collective return with a new LP on Marionette (Deer, Kilchhofer). Death Must Die is another collection of hallucinatory electronics, concrete techniques and percussion pieces from the group. Massive Attack, Muslimgauze and Shackleton are all invoked here. Give it a spin if you’ve enjoyed any of the recent Bokeh Versions drops.

The Book Room

After a couple of EPs for Marionette (Burnt Friedman, Max Loderbauer), Swiss producer Kilchhofer turns in a twenty-track LP for the label. The cuts here are probably what you’d describe as ‘post-techno’, if pushed. There are club tracks straining to get out of numbers like ‘Varen’ and ‘Trift’, but Kilchhofer’s treatment takes them away from the dancefloor and into the realms of IDM and braindance.

Max Loderbauer

If this release is anything like his previous releases then we're in for a little bit of a treat, again. Max Loderbauer is so good at building suspense, whilst causing you to have a minor mental breakdown at every element of life around you when listening to his music. Greyland is a six-track 12" that is released on Marionette.

Marionette takes a trip through the polyrhythmic jungle of Kilchhofer's (aka Timoka) 'Dersu'. With a unique approach to modular synthesis, he composes his music by creating odd instruments out of the sounds that he patches. Pressed on 180g wax in printed on inside/out high quality 350g/m2 matte cover.

Maxim Wolzyn
Affirm, Deny, Reconcil

Max Lange aka Maxim Wolzyn (VE-302, SVS Records) presents his fragmented piano recordings for the third Marionette release. Melancholic and disintegrated - intensely reminiscent of a feeling that has not yet been experienced. Pressed on 180g wax in printed on inside/out high quality 350g/m2 matte cover.

Laurine Frost
A Fading Virtue By Passing Time

Following records on Perspectiv, Salto Recordings, Thema, Archipel, Grow Vinyl, Tape Hiss etc. Hungarian producer Laurine Frost (aka Coldfish, Haramia Tapes) is stepping up his jazz infected material for Marionette's second release. Resonating sub, eerie distorted synths, and a whole load of drum work. Pressed on 180g wax in printed on inside/out high quality 350g/m2 matte cover.

Burnt Friedman
Dead Saints Chronicles

Nonplace Bossman Burnt Friedman is responsible for the fifth release on Marionette. The German artist's six-track EP takes inspiration from David Solomon and John Anthony West's book on Near Death Experiences (The Dead Saints Chronicles: A Zen Journey Through The Christian Afterlife) and was assembled from his vast archive of recordings. The results are Friedman at his most mystical and on fine form, following his excellent record for Latency.

Kilchhofer / Hainbach

Four new tracks apiece from Kilchhofer and Hainbach, releasing their second and first ever vinyl releases respectively. Acosta finds both acts bringing their A-game, with a general theme of hypnotic rhythms and pulsing melodics. If you got some addictive quasi-tribal vibes from this split, you wouldn’t be wrong. 12” release from Marionette and Little Mary.
