Juice B Crypts

Having attracted some criticism for their indifferent last outing four years ago, experimental rock enthusiasts Battles drop their fourth studio album, which presses the reset button on expectations once again. Which is to say, there's only two of them now. Juice B Crypts is a veritable whirlwind of sonics and features collaborations with Shabazz Palaces and tUnE-YaRdS.

La Di Da Di

Battles are back! The second record produced by their trio format, La Di Da Di is as bright, as colourful, and as listenably complex as ever. The first track references horrifying Australian film Wake In Fright, which is a promising way to begin. CD or double gatefold LP with bonus breakfast-themed posters for the first pressings. On Warp.

Dross Glop

Dross Glop gathers together all the remix EPs of Battles Gloss Drop album, and what a cast they’ve assembled. Shabazz Palaces, Hudson Mohawke, Kode9, The Field… They even get Yamantaka Eye of Boredoms onboard! And just look at that delicious colourful ice cream cover: all in all, quite the package. On Warp Records.

With Battles releasing their new LP, Juice B Crypts, what better time than now to relive Mirrored, their highly regarded 2007 debut. The band sprung out of a highly creative scene in New York which included bands such as LCD Soundsystem, Dirty Projectors and Animal Collective, to name a few. Includes the single, Atlas.
