Band of Horses
Everything All The Time

Everything All the Time was the debut album by US dreamers Band of Horses. The group had emerged from an earlier incarnation Carissa's Weird and set about on a course to make chiming transcendental Americana that aimed at the stars. There's nods to ELO, the Flaming Lips and Mercury Rev in here and you may have heard the track The Funeral which has been used everywhere on TV ads, games etc. But even without that flagship track, Everything All the Time is a minor classic.

Band of Horses
Cease To Begin

Cease to Begin was the second album from gorgeously dreamy USA lot Band of Horses. Their debut Everything All the Time had been a runaway success and Cease to Begin continued to solidify their likeable sound with a blend of country rock, psychedelia led by the keening voice of Ben Bridwell. Listen if you like Fleet Foxes, Mercury Rev and the Flaming Lips.

Band of Horses
Infinite Arms

Things moved quickly for Band of Horses following their formation in 2004. They released two acclaimed albums in Everything All the Time and Cease to Begin and despite an ever revolving membership had stumbled on a gorgeously widescreen sound that seemed designed for long drives across middle America. Infinite Arms continues the trajectory and opens with the stunning Factory an example of their slightly oddball world view which always seems to make you swoon.

Band of Horses
Mirage Rock

Mirage Rock was the fourth album by Americana dreamers Band of Horses. The album is more raw than their previous efforts and somewhat haphazard leading to the album being seeing perhaps not with the adoration of previous works. Still, it contains more of their lucid updating of 1970s rock and as always the seemingly elasticated voice of Ben Bridwell.
