Robert Johnson
Cross Road Blues / Ramblin' On My Mind

Robert Johnson is credited with laying down the blueprint that modern blues was built from. His influence can be seen in many blues players since such as Muddy Waters, Elmore James and Eric Clapton. Cross Road Blues and Ramblin’ On were recorded in 1936 and are featured together on this limited edition 10” single.

Robert Johnson
King Of The Delta Blues Singers

Robert Johnson’s Faustian pact is probably the defining myth of rock ‘n’ roll. This compilation of his 1936-37 singles is worth hearing for that reason alone. If you go in for that sort of thing, it was also ranked the 27th greatest album of all-time by Rolling Stone in 2003. Either way, the songs here all have an eerie power that is only heightened by the crackling mono recordings.
