Richard & Linda Thompson
Pour Down Like Silver

The stripped-down and economical Pour Down Like Silver was the second album that English folk musicians Richard & Linda Thompson released in 1975 alone. Influenced by their conversion to the Sufi faith (of Islamic mysticism) and having moved to a commune in London, it’s now re-issued by Island on heavyweight vinyl.

Richard & Linda Thompson
I Want To See The Bright Lights

Given its reputation as a beloved British folk rock totem, it’s easy to forget that I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight, the first of six albums that Richard Thompson recorded with his then-wife Linda Thompson, was practically ignored upon release in 1974. It’s now re-issued by Island on heavyweight vinyl.

Richard & Linda Thompson
Hokey Pokey

Following the gloomy splendour of I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight, Richard & Linda Thompson’s second album together was a much more upbeat affair. Influenced by classic British music hall, brass bands, pub favourites and traditional English hymns, Hokey Pokey is now re-issued by Island on heavyweight vinyl.

Richard Thompson
The Cold Blue (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Score)

The Cold Blue is a 2019 documentary which features unseen footage of bomber planes flown in World War 2 alongside narration from survivors. All in all it is a sobering and at times harrowing film helped out by the soundtrack which was written and performed by Richard Thompson. This 2LP edition is the first time on vinyl for the music of the film and comes on sky blue vinyl (naturally).

Richard Thompson
13 Rivers

A member of Fairport Convention all the way back in 1967, Richard Thompson, is still making urgent and heartfelt rock'n'roll. 13 Rivers is his first solo album since 2015, and the first that he's self-produced in over ten years. The result is the complete erosion of any space between the listener and Thompson, making the songs all the more profound.
