Oneida and Rhys Chatham
What's Your Sign?

Some years in the making, here is the collaboration between one of New York’s finest guitar-centric experimental composers Rhys Chatham and the glorious Oneida. With What’s Your Sign?, both parties mesh beautifully together into a swirl of repetitive super-sound: a joy for Oneida and Chatham fans alike. Out on Northern Spy.

Rhys Chatham
Pythagorean Dream

Pythagorean Dream is an album by Rhys Chatham, coming three years after his previous release. Named after the type of tuning for guitar that the album uses, Chatham did it all on this recording, from performing to mastering and all the bits in between. With just two tracks, the album spreads across musical influences, styles and instruments with focus on the electric guitar and on flutes.   CD or Vinyl LP.

Charlemagne Palestine & Rhys Chatham

Charlemagne Palestine & Rhys Chatham
Youuu + Mee = Weee (First)

Charlemagne Palestine and Rhys Chatham are two avant-garde performers from the 1970s who tried to break out of genre and the idea of meaning and beauty in music. They have come together for the first time on a recording here. Influences from minimalism to punk rock, with myriad instruments as well as the pervading scent of clove cigarettes almost trapped in the groove of the vinyl LP.
