Psychic TV
The Evening Sun Turns Crimson

In 2017 Psychic TV were commissioned to play a live musical performance alongside a showing of Derek Jarman's 1974 film 'In The Shadow of the Sun'. The performance took place at (where else?) Cafe Oto in London and here is the musical accompaniment for the first time on vinyl and based (I think) on an original soundtrack by Throbbing Gristle.

Psychic TV
Trip Reset

Dating from 1996, Trip Reset was a Psychic TV album featuring The Angels of Light (not to be confused with the Michael Gira band of the same name nor the pudding of the similar name). It's one of their most psychedelic offerings featuring a Pink Floyd cover and tribute songs to both Syd Barrett and the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band. This tasty looking re-issue features new liner notes from Genesis P.Orridge and comes on purple and silver vinyl.

Carl Abrahamsson & Genesis Breyer P-Orridge
Loyalty Does Not End With Death

Loyalty Does Not End With Death is the final instalment of a spoken-word trilogy of albums by Swedish film director Carl Abrahamsson and Throbbing Gristle’s Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, the first part of which, incredibly, dates back to 1990. Recorded in New York and Stockholm over the last couple of years, it matches warm ambience with dark poetry.

Psychic TV
Alienist

Genesis P-Orridge and Co. return with their follow up to 2014’s Snakes. Features two haunting (as only PTV know how to be) originals as well as continuing their weird-ening of classic songs with reappropriations of “Jump Into The Fire” by Harry Nilsson and The Creation’s “How Does It Feel To Feel”.

Psychic TV
Kondole / Dead Cat

This box set contains David Lewis’ obscure film Dead Cat on DVD, featuring Genesis P-Orridge and Derek Jarman. The CDs contain the sparse, eerie soundtrack in both full length and edited versions. Also included is Thee Whale, the tribal percussion-driven score to an abandoned short film, and a third track, Thee Shadow Creatures. All were recorded on the 23rd of January, in the years 1988, 1989 and 1993 respectively.

Psychic TV
Fishscales Falling : A Smorgasbord ov Delights - Mixtape Vol 2

Take another glimpse into the unique world of Genesis P-Orridge’s Psychic TV with Fishscales Falling: A Smorgasbord ov Delights, the second volume of a mixtape series that plucks out all sorts of treats from the archives, mostly unreleased. Remixes, demos and live tracks are all swirled up into a nutritious collection of strange. 12” on Sweet Nothing.

Psychic TV
Allegory & Self

Sacred Bones present a pair of Psychic TV reissues. Allegory & Self, released in 1984, is in fact one of the group’s most pop-friendly albums ever, a surprising move for the group led by Genesis P-Orridge and Alex Fergusson. Take this chance to relish the sound of the weirdos storming the charts! Out of print on vinyl for almost three decades, here is Allegory & Self reissued.

Psychic TV
Pagan Day

Sacred Bones present a pair of Psychic TV reissues. Pagan Day originally came out in 1984, presenting raw versions of songs fleshed out elsewhere. Unlike the ornate full band recordings, these are four-track demos and sketches, recorded by Genesis P-Orridge and Alex Fergusson alone. Out of print for three decades, here it is reissued!

Psychic TV
Alien Be-In Remix EP

The classic 1989 Psychic TV track Alien Be-In, presented in full remastered glory and accompanied by two remixes. The original track captures the band’s wyrd take on Acid House, and remixes from Silent Servant and John Tejada push the sound into more contemporary forms of bangin’. Real striking packaging too!

Psychic TV
Themes

Here is a nice looking box set of all the Themes albums by PSYCHIC TV, all at once in a splendid looking matt laminate box. A collection of archive and rare tracks from Genesis P Orridge's long running outfit. Comes complete with a bonus disc, the glamorous sounding offering Live in Basildon.

Psychic TV
Snakes

Losing control of my body and spirit with Psychic TV. Snakes is a blurred trek into LSD driven post-punk-trip-pop. Filled with layers and layers of dense guitars, drums, electronics and Genesis Breyer P-Orridge's stoner croon wailing all over it. Snakes is like The Stone Roses covering The Velvet Underground with a My Bloody Valentine wall-of-sound turning your head into goo. Out on vinyl LP from Angry Love Productions.

Psychic TV
Dreams Less Sweet

An extremely conscientious reissue of Psychic TV’s ‘Dreams Less Sweet’, from the early period when they still wrote pop songs, albeit weirdly improvised ones. The artwork is all restored and great care has even been taken to preserve the eccentric holophonic audio format of the original. The synths, choral interludes and Sleazy’s pre-Coil sound experiments have never sounded so good.
