Placebo
Placebo

Apparently, if you listen to Placebo you don’t actually feel the effects of their music, be they visceral or cerebral, you just think you do. Or perhaps if you turn it up loud enough, you will. Their eponymous debut album originally landed in 1996 and featured some androgynous alt. rock bangers such as Nancy Boy, Come Home and Teenage Angst. It is now reissued on vinyl for you delectation and reappraisal.

Placebo
Black Market Music

Black Market Music was the third album to be released by androgynous alternative rockers Placebo. It followed on from the massive success of their sophomore effort Without You I’m Nothing. The band have sold over 12 million albums inspiring legions of fans to start their own bands.

Placebo
Without You I'm Nothing

Reissue of Without You I’m Nothing, the second album by Placebo and a landmark record for alternative (but still successful) rock groups in the '90s. Brian Molko expresses his inner pain over the band’s tight riffing. Includes their hit ‘Pure Morning’.

Placebo
Life's What You Make It

Yes....yes it is that one.  Placebo celebrate their 20th anniversary with a new 6 track EP which worryingly contains a version of the Talk Talk classic. If anyone wants to go ahead and murder them for doing this then of course be my guest. It's also incredible that they've existed for twenty years without anyone seriously trying to stop them.

Placebo
MTV Unplugged

MTV Unplugged by Placebo sees the band not being content with stripping back their songs to their bare bones. Brian Molko and co. wanted to do something special to contribute to the on-going history of MTV Unplugged. Available on a staggering number of formats: Double vinyl LP picture disc, 180g double vinyl LP, limited edition CD/DVD/Blu-Ray box set with 32-page booklet, Blu-Ray and standard CD.

Placebo
Sleeping With Ghosts

Sleeping With Ghosts was Placebo’s massively-selling 2003 album. Full of all their usual angst (including big singles like ‘The Bitter End’ and ‘English Summer Rain’) it saw Brian Molko dissect relationships by way of nasal whine over their usual brand of emo guitar racket.

Placebo
Loud Like Love

We might want to mock Placebo at every turn but there's no denying their longevity. Loud Like Love was their 2013 album which say the three piece explore themes of love in all its forms. They pondered stuff like why does everyone have so many friends on the internet and if someone robbed a bank would you still love them. Deep stuff which undoubtedly sold truckloads of copies across Europe.

Placebo
Battle For The Sun

Another Placebo album we completely forgot about, Battle For The Sun was their sixth album and was released in 2009 to the delight of eurogoths everywhere. The album sees the band utilise new sounds and instruments and move Brian Molko's squeak higher in the mix so everybody can hear what he's been whining on about.

Placebo
Meds

Placebo released Meds in 2006, immediately making a big impact on self-consciously alternative youths. As their fifth album, Meds is the sound of a band who have mastered their own style: singles like ‘Because I Want You’ are super-efficient pieces of Placebo power.
