John Parish & Polly Jean Harvey
Dance Hall At Louse Point

An album that tends to be unfairly disregarded as a mere side-project, Dance Hall At Louse Point by PJ Harvey and fellow musician John Parish was released in 1996. With Harvey writing the lyrics and Parish taking care of the music, it was a low-key but absorbing affair upon multiple listens, and now gets a much-deserved re-issue on vinyl.

PJ Harvey
To Bring You My Love - Demos

The issuing of PJ Harvey demos continues with To Bring You My Love - The Demos. If you want to hear what her most commercially successful album sounded like before producers Flood and John Parish got their hands on it then this is for you. It was her third album - but first proper solo album with the previous two being made with her trio - and contained the hits C’mon Billy, Down By The Water and Send His Love To Me.

PJ Harvey
Dry Demos

Previously unavailable as a stand-alone album, these 11 demos that made up PJ Harvey’s scintillating 1992 debut album Dry are being released alongside a re-pressing of the album itself. Featuring brand new artwork with unseen images by Maria Mochnacz, it’s a chance to glimpse at the construction of one of British indie’s finest debuts.

PJ Harvey
All About Eve (Original Music)

Verily, it is All About Eve these days - so much so that the BBC have even discussed Killing her! PJ Harvey seems to have been swept up in all the Eve-xcitement, composing a score to the West End adaptation of this ultra-famous old movie. Ol' Polly Jean keeps things ticking along nicely, her mostly-instrumental album interspersed with a couple of those Sussex Downs ballads she does so well. The All About Eve score is out on Invada.

PJ Harvey
To Bring You My Love

To Bring You My Love was the third album by P J Harvey and probably the one that cemented her as a force to be reckoned with. It is full of dark songs which exemplify her storytelling abilities and gained her the first of her Mercury Music Prize victories. Twenty five years n the album gets a re-issue on vinyl courtesy of Island.

PJ Harvey
Dry

Dry was the now legendary debut album by Dorset chanteuse PJ Harvey. Emerging at a time when shoegaze and post Madchester baggy was dominating the alternative music charts it was a totally unique work both uncompromising and musically thrilling. It contains two of her best known songs in Dress and Sheela-Na-Gig. This remastered version is the first time the record has been in print on vinyl in over 20 years.

PJ Harvey
The Hope Six Demolition Project

The Hope Six Demolition Project is the ninth album by PJ Harvey. It is her first album since 2011’s Mercury Music Prize winning Let England Shake. The songs were created in sessions that were open to the public as part of an art installation at London’s Somerset House in 2015.  From snippets we’ve heard it sounds like she has returned to the punchy and riff-heavy indie-rock of albums such as Dry, Rid of Me and Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea. Should be good then!

PJ Harvey
4-Track Demos

4 Track Demos was a 1993 album by PJ Harvey which pretty much does what it says on the tin. It is home recordings of eight tracks that had already been released on Rid of Me alongside six additional songs. It was Steve Albini himself who persuaded Harvey to release them as a standalone record thinking that they showed a different side of her work than what was shown on the released LP.

PJ Harvey
Let England Shake

PJ Harvey’s eighth LP, released in 2011. Claimed to be influenced by an eclectic range of artists, from Salvador Dali and T.S. Eliot to The Velvet Underground. Polly Jean uses her flexible vocals and eclectic musical styles to create a haunting reflection on war and England’s relationship with it. LP or CD on Island.

PJ Harvey
Rid of Me

Rid of Me was the second studio album released by P J Harvey following on from her debut Dry. It was recorded by Steve Albini and (possibly as a result) had a much rawer and primitive sound than Dry. It was performed by the trio of Harvey, Rob Ellis and Steve Vaughan and was the last LP the trio would record as a unit.
