Panda Bear
A Day With The Homies

We now have a reason for why Noah Lennox sat out Animal Collective’s Meeting of the Waters EP that came out midway through 2017 - he was finishing off his first solo release since 2015. This limited-edish 12” sees Lennox retreating into the deeper frequencies, combining his trademark Panda Bear-iness with freeform experimentations and non-linear song structures.

Panda Bear
Buoys

Escaped Animal Collective animal Panda Bear, known to his handlers as Noah Lennox, arrives at album six with Domino. An exercise “hyper-modern production” techniques with Person Pitch collaborator Rusty Santos, Buoys finds ol’ Pand subjecting his schtick of characteristically queasy crooners to mainstream studio pastiche. Smashing.

Animal Collective
Meeting Of The Waters

Following on from their Painting With album last year, Animal Collective reveal the results of a recent trip to Brazil: four new tracks, recorded live in the rainforest by Avey Tare and Geologist and integrating field recordings. Animal Collective on location. Meeting Of The Waters is a 12” release on Domino.

Panda Bear
Crosswords EP

If you just can't get enough Animal Collective/Panda Bear/Avey Tare etc etc etc then here's a five track EP which contains absolutely no songs whatsoever off Panda Bear's recent 'Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper' record. Instead there are three completely new tracks and two older reworked ones all recorded under the watchful eye of Sonic Boom. If you liked that 'Meets the Grim Reaper' opus then this is a surefooted enough follow on.

Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper

Animal Collective's drummer, Beach Boys' drone aficionado and only living bear has a new record out to chew at the corners of. Panda Bear was last seen with Tomboy, a fittingly delayed and overdue record of slow, grey-scale jams, and returns now with the strobe-lit Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper, which puts his voice at the forefront for once but offers the same disorientating take on sunshine pop.

Animal Collective
Hollinndagain

It's hard to imagine but there was a time when Animal Collective were actual children rather than just pretending to be children. This album comes from way back when where the initial line up of Panda Bear and Avey Tare added Geologist to the line up and collected up radio sessions and live performances by the soon-to-be-lauded trio.
