A wonderful reissue of a distant gem from 1987, which itself was quite an obscurity in its time. Sitting in the middle of a space rock epic, 80s fusion and balearic synth, the album takes the listener to unimaginable places, an ethereal blend of vintage Japanese electronic pop and cosmic rock balladry.

Solitude EP

Brighton resident Atlas presents his debut EP to the world! This may be the first actual release for the young producer, but title track Solitude may well sound familiar, having been a cornerstone of Keysound label runners Dusk and Blackdown for the last year and a half. Serious sprightly dub-weighted dancefloor killers right here.

You got much in the way of Austrian Jazz / Funk / Soul from the mid-to-late seventies? Why yes madam, come right this way. Atlas were just such a thing, and this self-titled release was their only album. Their legacy has been slim, but there is enough magic in here for Atlas to have been sampled twice by smash-hit artist Gotye. How about that?

Wet Paint

Second EP from Atlas to see in 2015. This four-track EP on London's COJA Records features the vocal talent of Kristina Paraskeva from Youth, as well as remixes from Kalyde as well as Luvian, a friend and collaborator. Original, stripped back, ethereal, chilled-out sounds from the unoriginally named duo. Vinyl 12".
