Nine Inch Nails
The Downward Spiral

Universal here reissue Nine Inch Nails‘ 1994 landmark album The Downward Spiral, Trent Reznor’s grand concept album about mental health, addiction and suicide. It's very much a crucial 90’s album, a landmark of industrial and alternative rock. You can now get it on vinyl, in remastered form, spread over two LPs. Happy days.

Nine Inch Nails
The Fragile

Universal here reissue Nine Inch Nails epic double platinum double album The Fragile, in full style. The album clocks in at nearly two hours, and is an industrial alt-rock tour de force, featuring plenty of heaviness and textural experimentation alike. Remastered audio, spread luxuriously across three vinyl LPs.

Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross
Halloween Theme (Remix)

‘Tis the month of Halloween, the festival in which the same old scary, plastic products are rolled out of warehouses and peddled for the occasion. Traditionalists Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross do their part by rereleasing their high-octane rework of John Carpenter’s Halloween theme - all the more appropriate given the titular slasher sequel currently doing the rounds!

Nine Inch Nails
ADD VIOLENCE EP

Released digitally in July, Caroline International bring the second in a series of three EPs from Nine Inch Nails to physical format. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross touch every base across five tracks, with a synth driven stomper, glitchy experimental electronics and a heavy and distorted climax…

Nine Inch Nails
Bad Witch

Tonight at the Roadhouse, it’s the 22.85 Centimetre Nails! And it sounds indeed as if the association with Twin Peaks has rather rubbed off on potty-mouthed T. Reznor & Pals. Lead tune ‘Got Break Down the Door’ sets acid bass and very noirish atmospherics - particularly the lonesome brass a jazzhouse croon from Trent - to an agitated tempo. The NIN style is intact, but with adventurous feelers out.

Nine Inch Nails
The Fragile: Deviations I

If you thought Nine Inch Nails’ 1999 album The Fragile was already a massive listen, well get this. Trent Reznor has now assembled The Fragile: Deviations 1, a collection of thirty-seven alternate versions and additional tracks, many of them never previously circulated. 150 minutes of archival Nails for you to enjoy, pressed to four vinyl LPs in a limited, not-to-be-repeated edition. On Universal.

Nine Inch Nails
Broken

Broken is Nine Inch Nails’ EP released from 1992, though it contains over half an hour of music. Broken stands in between Pretty Hate Machine’s synthpop and The Downward Spiral’s heavy industrial rock, and feels like the beginning of a great darkness in the band. This reissue is presented as a 12” LP with bonus 7”.

Nine Inch Nails
Not The Actual Events

Not The Actual Events is a Nine Inch Nails EP released in 2016, that Mr Reznor reckons is part of a return to some of the sounds and textures the band were using back in the industrial metal days of the 90’s. That’ll be very welcome news to some fans, so get your hands on the CD (and now vinyl!) editions of Not The Actual Events, containing twenty minutes of material.

Nine Inch Nails
Halo I- IV

An extremely limited vinyl repress of Nine Inch Nails' phenomenal early work. Halo I-IV refers to Trent Reznor’s personal numbering system, and this one-off set contains his first three singles on 120 gram 12” vinyl and Pretty Hate Machine on a whopping 180 gram slab of wax. This abrasive album and the classic run of singles that led to it defined NiN’s claustrophobic, industrial rock.

Gone Girl (Soundtrack from the Motion Picture)

This double CD soundtrack from Oscar-winning duo Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross accompanies Gone Girl, the twistiest film plot since Dorothy got swept up by the tornado. The ambient, New-age sounds are accompanied by creeping staccato unease, sending shivers up your spine, preparing you for the brutal scenes to follow. Not for just before bedtime.
