Move D
Building Bridges

The name Move D is pretty much a byword for quality in the world of dance music these days. Building Bridges, the latest LP from David Moufang’s most prominent project, keeps up the brand profile with another set of elegant and sleek deep house tracks. Given that Building Bridges works so well as a whole it’s surprising to find out that some of these cuts were made two decades apart from each other. Thomas Fehlmann, Juju & Jordash and Fred P are among the guests.

Move D
Kunststoff

This is a long awaited remastered and reissued double LP edition of a masterpiece of '90s ambient and techno. Kunststoff by Move D was first released on Source Records in 1995, and this is the first reissue since 2006. David Moufang aka Move D recorded the album in 1994 and on release it soon became a firm favourite among the more adventurous listeners of techno, ambient and IDM. On tracks like 'Tribute To Mr. Fingers' and 'Beyond The Machine' David wears his heart on his sleeve. An evergreen classic for the chillers... Look, his favourite armchair is still there.

Move D & Benjamin Brunn
Songs From The Beehive

Move D is often spoken of as one of the nicest people in dance music. I don't know if he actually is nice but there's something so genuinely warm in the music he makes I'm very inclined to believe it. Here he links up with Benjamin Brunn to release a collection of long form and very sweet groovy synth jams. Sehr schön!

Move D & Jordan GCZ
Urgence

With intact hiss and lo-fi drums at the backbone of this subtle record, 'Urgence' is dripping in realness. The vast space that is left is filled with gentle and precise synth murmurings, thin synth washes and stripped back bass. It's a singular record for inner city night walks and strange mornings.

The Mulholland Free Clinic
The Mulholland Free Clinic

Together, Jonah Sharp, Move D, Juju and Jordash have formed The Mulholland Free Clinic, an institute for improvised live electronic hardware music. For their second ever set, they played for three hours. The recordings were then cut down to the 80-minute form you see before you, and then spread over three LPs of remarkably strong ebb and flow. 3LP set on the Away label.

Move D & Thomas Meinecke
On The Map

Known for his own ambient and techno productions as well as his formidable DJing ability across the house-techno spectrum, David Moufang AKA Move D is one of Germany’s finest. For On The Map, Moufang works with polymath Thomas Meinecke to compile a psychogeographical, musical travelogue wherein local sounds and local people bring five US cities to life. This double-LP comes in a gatefold sleeve, ‘cause that’s the vinyl equivalent for a story in proper hardback, yeah?
