MF DOOM Vinyl, CD & tapes from this artist at Norman Records
Like Czarface? Like MF Doom? Well then, czech this out: a full-length team-up of the hip-hop heavyweights, following on from a 2015 collaborative track together. The two lyricists trade fantastic sparky lines left right and centre, with additional guest spots from Open Mike Eagle and Vinnie Paz. Sixteen tracks, presented on CD, LP or cassette by Silver Age.
Like the Czarface Meets Metal Face full-length team-up between Czarface and MF Doom but don’t actually like the rhymes and vocals too much? Well then, this instrumental version of the album is for you! All facetiousness aside, this is a great bonus accompaniment to the original record, letting those beats fully shine. Cassette only release from Silver Age.
Czarface (Inspectah Deck + 7l & Esoteric) (featuring MF DOOM)
Czarface and MF DOOM recently worked together on the superhero / comic themed Every Hero Needs A Villain. Ka-Bang! is taken from that record, and is accompanied by a new mix, an exclusive track, and instrumentals. DOOM’s flow is strong as ever, and the track is a wonderful swaggering thing, interspersed with comic-esque samples. Pressed to beautiful 10” picture disc on Brick Records.
Maybe his name seems a bit heavy. On the other hand, I now associate the word “doom” with dope hip-hop. MF DOOM has been releasing the tasty instrumental beat series Special Herbs every now and then, and we’re happy we can offer you installment 9+0 (including bonus 7” with some KMD work)!
Who could forget this 2005 A-list team-up between MF Doom and Danger Mouse? The Mouse and The Mask, which also features guest appearances from characters both real (Ghostface Killah, Cee Lo Green) and fictional (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) is a sweet and funky classic, and it is now getting a hardcore reissue. The Official Metalface Edition features an EP and some unreleased tracks in addition to the original album.

You really should know the deal by now, but 'Special Herbs' is MF DOOM's series of instrumentals and beats. He's long been renowned for his producing work, and 'Special Herbs 7 & 8' continues to prove things we already knew, because why not, and also because, you know -- it sounds good. There are some wild samples in here, including one from the Sugar Hill Gang's "Passion Play".
'Special Herbs 5 & 6' is the latest entry in MF DOOM's instrumental series of beats. MF DOOM is famous for being a beats merchant for a wide variety of canonized hip-hop artists, from De La Soul to the Wu-Tang Clan. This record collects a variety of rarely heard MF DOOM samples, and comes with a bonus 7" from when MF DOOM was a member of the group KMD.

MF Doom’s series, Special Herbs, began in 2002. Now the series is being made available on vinyl for the first time in long while. Hip hop’s most enigmatic figure, the man in the iron mask, has scattered his seed far and wide, working with the likes of Gorillaz, De La Soul and Wu Tang Clan among others and earned high praise from Mos Def and Nas.
Special Herbs Vol. 3&4 is available on vinyl and comes with a bonus 7” single.

Through his many incarnations MF Doom has remained an always on point player in the rap game. Here we have 18 tracks of rare and unreleased material, including collaborations with other big players including Talib Kweli, J Dilla, Ghostface Killah, Sean Price, Count Bass D, Vast Aire, and Masta Killa.
MF Doom, the masked marauder himself, gets two of his earlier tracks repressed by Nature Sounds. And guess what: the wax is a delightful shade of orange. ‘My Favourite Ladies’ is backed with ‘All Outta Ale’, and each track is present in multiple mixes: ‘Clean’ if young children are around, ‘Dirty’ if not, and ‘Instrumental’ if you want to step up to the mic yourself.
Apart from preaching the apocalypse as one of the best lyricists in hip hop, MF DOOM has also been a prolific producer and remixer. In order to soften the pain of his ongoing hiatus, Metal Face is now reissuing his previously unfindably-rare Special Blends Vol. 1 & 2 on 2xLP. On this 2004 release, he remixes other rappers’ verses onto his own lo-fi beats. Features verses by De La Soul, Nas and Gang Starr.
We’ll let you in on a little secret: King Geedorah is an alias (a mask, if you will) of MF Doom’s, inspired by a Godzilla monster. Take Me To Your Leader dates back to 2003, when Doom was on the highest of top forms. Fantastic underground hip-hop with mighty flows and the kind of samples that only come from years of crate-digging and mad intuition. Double LP reissue on Big Dada.
A rare glimpse into the MF DOOM live experience, originally released in 2005 and now available on vinyl for the first time through Metal Face Records. Recorded straight from the desk of an undisclosed location Doom picks through tracks spanning his career, covering Madvillain, DangerDOOM and many more.
MF Doom’s Special Herbs series of instrumental releases has grown to be the stuff of legends over the year, as well you’d expect for a producer of his stature. Here we have a reissue of the first two volumes on vinyl, a relief for anyone who missed out the first time. Plus! All the tracks are named after herbs and spices. Awesome.
