Mansun
Legacy 12

Excitement for Mansun fans (we know you are out there) as two of their EPs from their Six album era now come together on one collector-friendly 12". Legacy was the first single to be taken from the album and its lyrics mocked pop bands desperate for success. Mansun never quite got that kind of success themselves but this shows them at their most potent and it nicely collates a load of non album tracks you might not have.

Paul Draper
Attack Of The Grey Lantern - Live At The Ritz

Still on a high from last year’s well-received debut solo affair Spooky Action as well as the accompanying tour, reclusive ex-Mansun frontman Paul Draper asked the fans what they wanted on his Feb/March 2018 dates. They answered: alternative rock band Mansun’s chart-topping 1997 debut Attack of the Grey Lantern, please. And Paul duly obliged. Here’s a recording to prove it.

Paul Draper
Grey House

7” from former Mansun frontman Paul Draper, featuring two “fan favourites” from his recent album Spooky Action. A couple of decades after Mansun’s debut album disrupted 90s Britpop, Draper’s maximalist efforts here should appeal to the band’s devotees. Available on indies-only clear vinyl on Kscope.

Paul Draper
Live at Scala

Once of Britpop middleweights Mansun, Paul Draper made a return to the fray in the mid-2010s with two EPs and a UK top-twenty album Spooky Action. This live record, recorded at London’s Scala (surprise surprise), sees Draper tear through his Jeff Buckley-ish solo stuff as well as wheeling out some of the old guns. Features nice versions of ‘Wide Open Space’ and ‘I Can Only Disappoint U’.

Paul Draper
Spooky Action

The press release states that Paul Draper was frontman of one "one of the most iconic bands of the late '90s". The band they are talking about is - unbelievably  - Mansun. They did though have a large cult following who have followed Draper into his solo work ensuring that his latest shows were regularly sold out. This will be much anticipated not least that the special super duper vinyl contains a mix by one idea post rock mainstays Public Service Broadcasting.

Paul Draper
EP Two

Remember the band Mansun? They blessed the late 90s with an ambitious and unique style of alt-rock which rejected the Britpop formula that preceded it. Now their frontman Paul Draper is building up to a solo release with two EPs. EP Two is the second one... obviously. Expect hard-hitting alt-rock maximalism with poetic storytelling and a formidable voice that generates a decent amount of 90s nostalgia. Released as Vinyl 12" and CD on Kscope.

Mansun
One EP

So, you’ve rocked out to Paul Draper’s first solo album, Spooky Action from August this year. Perhaps before that, his two 2016 EPs were your jam. Now you’re wondering: who is this man? Where did he come from? Could he have been in any other bands during the 1990s? Well don’t fear: Kscope Records knew you were coming!

Mansun
Six

Could an album that covers sadism, scientology, and Winnie the Pooh be any good? That’s the question Mansun poses with their seminal (second, not 6th) album Six. We’ll let you be the judge. You can finally get your paws on a remastered release of this massive 1998 effort, which is pretty much the finest blueprint any late-stage progressive rock could ever ask for.
