Lucky Pierre Vinyl, CD & tapes from this artist at Norman Records
L.Pierre, who we can reveal is in fact Arab Strap’s Aidan Moffat, is releasing a very interesting new project here. 1948- is made entirely from samples of the first ever 33 ⅓ 12” record, a 1948 recording of a Mendelssohn concerto. What’s more, it is ...view item
Another contender for album of the week was LUCKY PIERRE's new
pop album Dip. Him and old Malcolm are gonna be battling it out for the best
Arab Strap member solo album award later at the Brits no doubt. I wonder
who'll win that one?? Well Dip is here right now on CD and LP thanks to those
nice people at Melodic....view item

More goodness.. I love cheap label samplers. You should too. They're just like
friends.... well they are if you talk to them and dress them up in clothes but
that's probably a bit weird... Melodic have seen fit to do another
quality label sampler featuring the likes of Pedro, Topo Gigio, Hulk, Dungen,
Gnac, Baikonour. Department Of ...view item
Lucky Pierre and Notes 12" picture disc and CD on Melodic.
Lucky Pierre has gone a bit disco and it reminds me of the Hart To Hart
theme tune jazzed up. Nice strings...... The rapping on the lead track is done
by Notes apparently. The packaging is totally inspired as it looks like a
CDR to the tee. Even t...view item

That Lucky Pierre fella is back. The beardy moaning git from Arab
Strap has a brand new instrumental album out on Melodic called 'Touchpool'
& It's gosh awful purty, hic. Stirring, neo classical strings bleeding into
chilled cinematic soundscapes that really brings to mind Mark Van Hoen's
Locust & solo work o...view item
The wife likes Lucky Pierre. To me he sets his casio pre-set on stun then
whacks a load of orchestral samples over the top and buggers off down the pub.
Good on him I say, everyone falls for it. It does sound ok sometimes. This
new 7" called Total Horizontal could be stretching the idea a little far. Its pleasant enough but
We have a brand new compilation on the ever reliable Melodic. Its called
'Tracks for Horses' and it features tunes by The Memory Band, Pedro, The Earlies,
Minotaur Shock, Lucky Pierre, Gavouna, Topo Gigio and many more. Its an
excellent comp all said and done .Your ears will thank you....view item
