John Barry Vinyl, CD & tapes from this artist at Norman Records
When the film was released in 1980 it was completely panned by audiences and critics alike, it’s redeeming feature was the majestic and incredibly on-point score composed by John Barry. The master tapes were subsequently lost by the studio but long time collaborator Nic Raine re-recorded it to near perfection with the The City of Prague Philharmonic for Silva Screen.

Walkabout is a seminal work of 1970s Australian New Wave cinema, delving into the surreal landscapes of the outback. The master tapes of John Barry’s original soundtrack (which is, obviously, of a very high caliber) were thought to be utterly lost for years, but now they have been recovered and released! The vinyl release includes press material and stills from the film.

John Barry’s soundtrack to the Michael Caine-starring colonial war classic Zulu is one of the ones that made the composer’s name, with a very memorable main theme that storms out of the speakers. This new Fantastic Voyage reissue has been remastered from the original stereo tapes and is pressed to weighty 180g vinyl.
Exciting, symphonic and instantly hummable, From Russia With Love’s score is nothing short of a masterpiece. The opening theme sets the tone, beginning with a brash staccato version of the James Bond theme before suddenly sliding into a smooth swagger. John Barry keeps doing that same thing throughout the soundtrack, setting up expectations then knocking them down. Limited edition of 500 copies.
It's 'Dr No', one of those spy films where James Bond is very charming, orders drinks at bars, raises his eyebrows and kills other, less nice spies. The soundtrack gets a reissue here on vinyl, showing off the original score and of course giving us that pretty famous James Bond theme tune, which is performed by the John Barry Orchestra.
