Fenella
Fehérlófia

Fenella is a project from one Jane Weaver, one of the 21st century's most adept practitioners of psychedelia. Along with two of her bandmates, she has created a soundtrack for Marcell Jankovics’ 'Fehérlófia', a 1981 Hungarian animated film that is a perfect match for Weaver's brand of warm and colourful psychedelia.

Jane Weaver
Modern Kosmology

Sometimes a change is as good as a rest. Jane Weaver's early records (including those by her excellent band Misty Dixon) were lovely under the radar folky affairs but it wasn't until she started to invoke in vogue kraut and psych influences on 'The Silver Globe' that some overground success came her way. Modern Kosmology threatens to continue down that cosmic path (just look at that title). Sure to be one of 2017's more anticipated releases.

Lost Library

The return of Fire records "Lost Library" series is a stormer with Jane Weaver singing atop Virginia Wing on a Suzanne Menzel song, Noveller tackling John Carpenter's 'The Thing' and Death and Vanilla re-imagine Bert Jansch's “Moonshine”. All showcase the female fronted bands on Fire's roster. So even better right?

Jane Weaver
The Lightning Back

To accompany her very large tour with the Public Service Broadcasting, vintage synth loving fan of all things kosmiche Jane Weaver has unleashed a single from her highly acclaimed 'Modern Kosmology' album and dragged those squirming, wriggly noise people Sex Swing in for a remix. Limited edition 7" on Fire.

Jane Weaver
The Architect EP

Featuring this years most pretentious press release (which we'll do our best to transcribe into actual words) is this new 12" from top notch Manchester kraut pop lass Jane Weaver. The lead track is eight minutes of kraut grooves and gives fans who loved her 'Modern Kosmology' record more propulsive cosmic pop. Plus two more new tracks and obligatory Andy Votel mix.

Jane Weaver
The Amber Light

Not exactly a new album from the North West's premier songwriting queen but a limited edition vinyl pressing of the bonus album that came with initial copies of 2014's critically acclaimed 'The Silver Globe'. Recorded over two long weekends, 'The Amber Light' features collaborations with very good friend Andy Votel and Tom Furse from the Horrors. Will help see us all through to the release of the actual new album which is apparently being recorded right now.

Jane Weaver / Tender Prey
Mission Desire / Pleasure Pain Principle

Mission Desire is the second single to be taken from Jane Weaver’s critically acclaimed album The Silver Globe. Weaver mixes spacey analogue synths and krautrock with classic singer/songwriting to make an original and compelling sound. This 7” is shared with Weaver’s labelmates and noisey Cardiffian three-piece, Tender Prey who bring Pleasure Pain Principle to the party - a burst of noise with intelligent lyrics.

Jane Weaver, Andy Votel, Suzanne Ciani, Sean Canty
Neotantrik Globes

This release originally began as an installation by Jane Weaver, which was then re-approached and re-worked by Andy Votel, Suzanne Ciani, and Sean Canty. The resultant trio have all kinds of strange approaches (often involving acoustic instruments twisted and processed out of shape) and Neotantrik Globes is consequently an intriguing, heady listen.

Jane Weaver / Tender Prey
Don't Take My Soul / Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Of My Heart

Jane Weaver’s Don't Take my Soul is an exposition of her gentle electropop and pretty, can’t-quite-put-your-thumb-on-it vocals, delivered appealingly and at high pitch. The 7” is split with Tender Prey, whose Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of my Heart is a promising sneak preview of their upcoming full-length.

TOY and Jane Weaver / H Hawkline
Fell From The Sun / It's A Drag

Not much info on this but it looks like London psych rockers Toy have collab'd with folky, krauty everywhere girl Jane Weaver on one side whilst Welsh Gruff Rhys mini-me H.Hawkline takes up the B side. Heavenly are releasing some great records at the moment so this will be a highly sought after one to add to your collection.

Jane Weaver
The Silver Globe

‘The Silver Globe’ is the sixth solo album from Liverpudlian singer/songwriter and guitarist Jane Weaver. A concept album inspired by past experiences, cosmic imagery and idiosyncratic stories, 'The Silver Glove' combines  influences of mechanical rock with retrofitted European cinema and empyrean vocals, alongside futuristic vintage synths to create something multifaceted, beguiling and truly singular.
