Calling It

Absolutely not to be confused with the Welsh band that recorded every 3 year-old's favourite song, 'Monster', Automatic are a three-piece from Los Angeles who play electronic post-punk. Fans of Savages, Suicide, Neu and Broadcast should check out their debut 7”, 'Calling It'. It is backed with a version of Leeds band Delta 5’s oft covered 'Mind Your Own Business'. It was recorded by Joo-Joo Ashworth from Californian indie rockers, Froth.

Not to be confused with the utterly cack mid-Noughties band responsible for the irritating ‘Monster’, this Automatic are a three-piece from Los Angeles who’ve gained a reputation for their incendiary live shows, inspired by psychedelia and punk. Signal is their debut studio album, and comes in a special indies-only red vinyl version.
