Peel Dream Magazine
Moral Panics

'Moral Panics' is the new EP by Peel Dream Machine aka Joe Stevens. It is made up of tracks recorded during the sessions for his last album 'Agitprop Alterna', ones that didn’t quite fit the vibe of the LP but were too good to be left in the can. The title for this EP is taken from Stanley Cohen’s book about 60s mods called 'Folk Devils and Moral Panic's. Sound-wise 'Moral Panics' is reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine and Eric Matthews.

Peel Dream Magazine
Agitprop Alterna

Motorik beats, melodic and discordant. Agitprop Alterna is the second album album from Peel Dream Magazine. I can only say that it must be good because the loose collective, helmed by New York musician Joe Stevens, have been likened to Yo La Tengo, My Bloody Valentine, Stereolab and Sarah Records bands. How very exciting!

Modern Meta Physic

NYC’s Peel Dream Magazine release their debut LP Modern Meta Physic via Slumberland Records. Yes, your hunch was correct - the band’s name is indeed a reference to the late John Peel. Peel would probably have liked this lot, especially if they’d surfaced around the start of the ‘90s at that time when shoegazified Velvet Underground paeans were all the rage.
