East Man
Eastern Code

Anthoney Hart’s East Man project returns for another EP of his reductionist take on grime. Eastern Code contains four new tracks that boil down the genre to its steely frame, with trace elements of dancehall, techno and drum ‘n’ bass in evidence, and seemingly designed for basements, pirate radio and late night car journeys.

Basic Rhythm
2 Da Core

Lying on the faultlines between footwork and hardcore, Basic Rhythm presents a new 12” single ‘2 Da Core’ off the back of his success with the On The Threshold EP. It features a remix of the title track from footwork pioneer RP Boo, plus two bonus compositions ‘Get Up’ and ‘Nuh Ramp’.

East Man & Walton
Horse Mouth / Gunshot

East Man (Anthoney Hart) kicked off Hi Tek Sounds back in 2018 with his own Stop Flapping Your Gums EP. The label’s second drops sees Hart back in East Man mode and mixing it with Eski-techno specialist Walton. Their collaboration yields expected results - both ‘Horse Mouth’ and ‘Gunshot’ are po-faced soundsystem bangers full of snatched hypeman vocals, ‘Pulse X’ bass beats and rumbling sub.
