The Beatles
Abbey Road – 50th Anniversary Edition

Absolutely everything about The Beatles’ final album Abbey Road screams ‘iconic’ - the much-parodied artwork, the second half’s famous song suite, the top class contributions from all of the Fab Four (yes, even Ringo’s ‘Octopus’s Garden’...). In 2019, it gets the 50th anniversary re-mastering treatment. With the new stereo mix handled by Giles Martin at the famous itself, this re-issue comes in: standard CD; double CD; single, double or triple vinyl; or a lavish 4xCD box-set with hardcover book and Blu-Ray. Various versions include outtakes and demos.

Paul McCartney
Egypt Station - Explorers Edition

Egypt Station was Paul McCartney’s 17th solo album - it feels like he’s done more. Anyway, it was pretty well received by critics upon its release in late 2018. Now we have the Explorers Edition. It is expanded to include Egypt Station II, which includes a bunch of live and studio tracks recorded around the same time and on Macca’s Egypt Station-related travels.

The Beatles
Yellow Submarine

Limited edition picture disc reissue of this classic 1966 tune from the legendary popular beat combo. The disc features images of the Yellow Submarine and  George, Paul, Ringo and John in cartoon form - from the iconic psychedelic animation of the same name. 'Eleanor Rigby' is included on the flipside. We're only able to score a handful of copies so don't sleep!

The Beatles
The Beatles (White Album)

The Beatles. Now there's a thing.  The White Album (initially known as just the Beatles) was the blueprint of what became known as 'the classic over indulgent double album that would have made a great single LP'. It was released 50 years ago today and still much of it sounds like Guided By Voices 'August By Cake'. This super duper re-issue isn't just a rehash of the original thing with posh packaging  - it contains the Esher demos  - a 27 track 'unplugged' demo that has only been heard by the most in the know the Beatles fans.

Paul McCartney
Egypt Station

Say what you like but Paul McCartney ain't doing bad for nearly 80. The former Beatle has had one of the most incredible careers in music history ranging from brilliance to some of the worst music made by a human and he's still at it. Though lead single 'Come On To Me' sounds bizarrely like Flight of the Conchords 'If You're Into It' we're sure there are better things lurking in here.

Paul and Linda McCartney
Ram

Universal have a full brace of Paul McCartney reissues to show off. 1971's Ram is Paul’s first record made with his wife Linda McCartney, and it is widely interpreted as a dig at John Lennon: Ram was of course being recorded and released in the aftermath of the break-up of some band called The Beatles. CD and LP reissues.

Paul McCartney
McCartney II

Universal present a full brace of new Paul McCartney‘s post-Beatles material in reissue form. McCartney II was recorded in 1979, as Wings were on their way out, and was assembled entirely by Paul himself, using a stack of synthesisers. And it includes the wonderful deep McCartney cut ‘Temporary Secretary’! CD and LP reissues.

Paul McCartney
McCartney

Universal have a full brace of Paul McCartney reissues to show off, giving the listening public an opportunity to examine the Beatle’s solo work once more. McCartney was his very first, released in 1970 and recorded in secret while his main band was still just about active. Paul plays almost every single part of the album, which has a nice and loose feel to it. CD and LP reissues.

Paul McCartney and Wings
Band On The Run

Universal present a full brace of new Paul McCartney‘s post-Beatles material in reissue form. Band On The Run is perhaps the best known of Paul’s records with Wings, featuring the big hit title track among other 70’s easy-rock bangers. CD and LP reissues, both with restored artwork and a download code.
