Queen
Bohemian Rhapsody (The Original Soundtrack)

I’m probably right in thinking that Norman’s stance on Queen is that they’re crap [editorial note; it's not!].....[Actual Editor's Note: It is!] . Love ‘em or hate ‘em, though, it is undeniable that Freddie Mercury was a one-off and they don’t make music like anyone else. Here we have the soundtrack to the massively successful Bohemian Rhapsody, the film about Freddie Mercury and Queen. It’s a mix of previously released Queen songs and previously unreleased songs from their legendary Live Aid performance. You also get the bonus of the 20th Century Fox fanfare being played in Brian May’s signature guitar style. The press release bangs on about sales achieved in Q4 - when did it stop being about the music, man? Double Heavyweight Vinyl LP on Virgin EMI.

Queen

That’s fifteen albums presented on eighteen vinyl LPs, along with a similarly comprehensive 108 book of sleeve notes, memorabilia and such goodies. Contains an astonishing weight of smash hits, not to mention kilograms. From Universal.

Queen

The big dogs of Classic British Rock are getting some nice reissue treatment here: Queen’s 1977 album News of the World. This deluxe box set reissue features the original album of course, plus two whole discs of outtake and unheard alternative versions, one of which replicates the album’s tracklist with new versions. Also a DVD with a documentary, a big book of rare material and 3 posters! What a bounty. On Universal.
