Will Beeley
Highways & Heart Attacks

Will Beeley is a singer/songwriter with the sandy dirt of the American highways in his hair and in his veins. He has previously released two albums 1971’s Galavantin’ and 1979’s Passing Dream. Clearly not one to rush things, forty years after his last release comes a new album, Highways & Heart Attacks. It sparks a new interest in an artist who deserves reappraisal, though he nearly didn’t get the chance. On Tompkins Square.

Passing Dream

Will Beeley released Passing Dream in 1979, but copies have been hard to find since then. But now happy days are here again: Passing Dream has received a lovely vinyl reissue from the Tompkins Square label. The album was recorded with a superb set of studio musicians, including Larry Campbell and Carson Whitsett.

Will Beeley

Will Beeley put his Gallivantin’ album out private press style in an edition of 200 LPs back in 1971, making it an extremely rare find. But now happy days are here again: Gallivantin’ has received a lovely vinyl and CD reissue from the Tompkins Square label, making his wonderful alt-country originals (and radical covers of Bob Dylan and Buffy Sainte-Marie) available to average punters again.
