Six-track debut EP from much-discussed Leeds band Mush, who recently signed with indie imprint Memphis Industries having been playlisted on BBC Radio 6 Music late last year. For fans of art-rock icons such as Pavement, Sonic Youth and The Fall, this 12” release should offer greater insight into one of the best new indie outfits in Britain. 

Gig Economy

Leeds band Mush have been have been on somewhat of an upward trajectory of late. BBC 6 Music’s Marc Riley loved their last single, Alt Facts and they’ve been supporting bands such as Rolling Blackouts CF, Parquet Courts and Ultra Spacek. Their new single, Gig Economy, is released by a new label to take a note of - Dipped In Gold, which is run by the people responsible for the much-missed Too Pure Singles Club. Limited edition 7” on gold vinyl.

Mush launched themselves unto the world with their ten minutes long Alternate Facts 7" which garnered praise ...well...everywhere. The follow up aims its ire at those people who love to write mindless crap under articles. My two penneth (if your asking) is that they sound a hell of a lot like Pavement.

With comparisons being drawn to Pavement, Television, and Velvet Underground, the Leeds based four-piece Mush return after their self released EP to the Too Pure label to prove them wrong, and fit perfectly alongside the likes of McClusky.
