Sandy (Alex G)
Live at Third Man Records

Sandy (Alex G)'s last album 'Rocket' was just superb. A favourite here for both home and office so it's nice that he got invited to play hits from that and his other albums live at Third Man. Not only that it got recorded and now unleashed for his adoring fans. Listen to his lovely songs being played live and just imagine for a second that you were there.

(Sandy) Alex G
House of Sugar

He just gets better and better. From lo-fi beginnings (Sandy) Alex G has slowly but surely emerged as one of the best songwriters of his generation. 2017's superb Rocket added a fascinating experimental bent to his songs and was a multi-faceted unpredictable riot of sound. Early indications for House of Sugar are of further warm country-tinged songs with nods towards Elliott Smith and Lou Barlow but complete as always with Alex G's wistful, autumnal melancholy.

Rocket

After doing many self recorded, produced and released records and cassettes, Philadelphia’s Alex G has rightly been snapped up by Domino for 2015’s Beach Music, and now they bring him back for his eighth full length. Rocket brings gorgeous suburban logfire songs, folk pop with a city backdrop. On vinyl and CD.

Beach Music

Beach Music is the seventh album by Lo-fi troubadour Alex G and follow-up to DSU which was no.37 in Norman’s top 50 albums of 2014. Alex G, full name Alex Giannascoli, takes his influences from all sorts of American indie of the ‘90s, mainly the good stuff - Pavement etc. The album was mixed by Jacob Portrait of Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Beach Music is likely to reach the places his other albums didn’t as he has now signed to indie giant, Domino Records.

DSU

Right, people. We've been listening to this in the office for what seems like the last 6 months and we think it's going to take you by storm. Think of all the '90's lo-fi greats (but particularly Pavement) rolled up into a one man slacker-pop songwriting machine and you are in the ballpark.  Get in on the ground floor.
