Proc Fiskal
Shleekit Doss EP

Following his well-received 2018 debut album Insula, one of Hyperdub’s newest stars Proc Fiskal drops a new six-track EP Shleekit Doss, named after the club night he used to run in Edinburgh. The tracks are rhythmically dense enough to make sense in a dancefloor context, but are sufficiently complex and shifting to satisfy genre purists.

Proc Fiskal
Insula

Edinburgh prodigy Proc Fiskal follows up his 2017 The Highland Mob EP with a meaty full-length for Hyperdub. The sixteen tracks of Insula are built from the same blocks as THM, with Fiskal fusing together grime, jungle and a little bit of breakbeat. Fiskal’s music has much in common with the 160 bpm ‘ruff sound’ coming out of Novelist and Mumdance’s workhouse recently, but the craft and care that's gone into this record means Insula has an appeal that spans Mouse On Mars to Hyperdub’s recent compilation of video game music Diggin’ In The Carts.

Proc Fiskal
The Highland Mob EP

Proc Fiskal is a Scottish producer who’s working with a chewy hybrid form of grime that ups the speed and cuts some jungle influences into the mix too. His sound palette is full of fun, with cartoony samples splashing around alongside high-energy synth melodies and rubbery basslines. The Highland Mob is Proc Fiskal’s debut EP, and it’s a damn good time. On Hyperdub.
