Georgia (Brian Close and Justin Tripp) Vinyl, CD & tapes by Georgia (Brian Close and Justin Tripp) at Norman Records

Georgia
Immute

With one of the most sumptuous album covers I've seen for a while, this new record from New York duo Georgia is an exploration of experimental electronic music. Although their name is not exactly SEO-optimised, do try and listen to this album when it comes out. I predict modular synth noodling, drum machines, and plenty of weird textures.

Georgia
Time

At the time of writing it’s 08:13 in Atlanta and 17:13 in Tbilisi. This particular Norman Records™ description writer found out both of these things before he got any info on Georgia’s Time. It turns out that this duo are actually from New York City and make a highly idiosyncratic brand of off-kilter electronica compositions. There are shades of Zuli’s avant-hop, the brain-bending beats of early Flying Lotus and FaltyDL’s organic rhythms to Time, but really this one’s out on its own. This LP has been released via the dependable Firecracker Recordings (Lord Of The Isles, DJ Sports).

Georgia / Bellows
Decouple ][ Series

OOH-Sounds (Bangalore, Backwords) with a new ooh-series of ooh-music here. Ooh! The Decouple ][ Series intends to showcase artists working, in their own ways, at the bold fringes of electronic composition. NTS Radio favourites Georgia offer up two lopsided rhythm experiments on the A-Side - think Jan Jelinek - while Bellows (Nicola Ratti and Giuseppe Ielasi) long-form ‘Untitled’ largely eschews rhythm for an exercise in concrete iciness.

Georgia
All Kind Music

So this is not the Domino signed Georgia but another Georgia. This time two guys creating world music, jazz and avant funk in one heady brew with guests galore including chief harpist Mary Lattimore. A simple google search would have sorted this out. Let's hope this is the last Georgia with a record out this year or things are going to get very confusing.
