Goldmund
Sometimes

Goldmund, aka Keith Kenniff has apparently had great success squeezing his music into films and adverts and such, which makes sense in some ways: he writes very elegant, dramatic piano music. But also, most of Sometimes is just as dark as the sleeve art suggests: I can’t imagine many of these tracks making me want to buy any lifestyle accessories. On Western Vinyl.

Goldmund
Occasus

Goldmund’s oft-copied piano-ambient sound is rarely rendered as purely or as cleanly by his many imitators. Occasus is another LP from the Pennsylvania composer that demonstrates his composition prowess and clarity of vision. Similarly to Hauschka and Ryuichi Sakamoto, this is light and beautiful music.

Corduroy Road

Goldmund is the minimal piano project of Keith Kenniff (also known as Helios). Corduroy came at us in 2006 spreading it's twinkly piano magic everywhere. Kenniff uses the piano pedals, the squeak of the chair and other environmental sounds alongside his gorgeous compositions which recall Erik Satie, Ryuichi Sakamoto or even Mark Hollis's solo work. LP re-issue on Unseen.

Helios
Unomia

Helios is the electronica project of Keith Kenniff (who also makes minimal piano stuff as Goldmund). His debut album Unomia is perfect for those who enjoy the sort of hazy, faded photo electronica of the likes of Boards of Canada or Plaid. Gorgeous slo-mo sounds which have now been re-pressed onto vinyl by Unseen for future generations to drift off to. Lovely.
