Daniel O'Sullivan
The Colour Of Entropy (In Three Stages)

Daniel O’Sullivan, AKA DOS, is a multi-talented multi-instrumentalist, and not a comfortably dressed irish singer that your grandma likes (that's Daniel O'Donnell). He has worked with the likes of Grumbling Fur, Ulver and Sunn O))) in the past. The Colour of Entropy (In Three Parts) a 14 minute piece of music, divided into three parts. DOS makes prog / psych rock, free form improvisation, space jazz, drone and ‘out there’ folk music. Peter Broderick guests.

Daniel O'Sullivan

Daniel O’Sullivan, often spotted in Grumbling Fur but also recently as part of This Is Not This Heat, presents his second solo album of songs. The songwriting is at the core of Folly, though there is still plenty of textural intrigue in here, don’t worry about that O’Sullivan fans. Birth and death, family and love are all here in this highly personal and accomplished record.

The Strife Of Love In A Dream

Here we are with more sci-fi synth heavy beat work, though this time pitting arpeggiated synths against distant chants and odd ritualistic darkness. This collaboration between Steve Moore and Daniel O'Sullivan also has ties to metallic genres, and so finds itself quite at home on the legendary Relapse Records.

Daniel O'Sullivan

Daniel O’Sullivan, of Grumbling Fur, Ulver and Aethenor (and that’s not all!), is in solo mode on VELD, but that doesn’t mean he has limited himself to a single approach. VELD is an album of pop songs, but electroacoustic abstractions keep lapping at the edges of the song structures. Released on O Genesis.
