Graeme Miller & Steve Shill
The Carrier Frequency

Finally available for the first time on vinyl, The Carrier Frequency was an important piece of stage work that came from a collaboration between Graeme Miller and Steve Shill - the core of the Impact Theatre Co-Operative - and novelist Russell Hoban in 1984. Combining electro-acoustic instrumentation with industrial aesthetics, its score contributed to a critically revered production.

The Moomins: Winter Wunderland Edition

People of a certain age love the Moomins. It was the quaint Swedish children's television show about a gang of woodland creatures who looked something like hippopotamuses. Weirdly, the evocative, dreamy music was made in Leeds by a couple of punk-era musicians Graeme Miller & Steve Shill and Finders Keepers have already issued the soundtrack on vinyl to the joy of middle-aged dads everywhere. This version is a Winter Wunderland Edition which, without the benefit of further information, we presume is the same soundtrack in more 'wintery' sleeve art.

The Moomins

When I was a child I taped the Moomins Theme tune off the telly and my dad thought I'd written it. The truth was though that it and all the other incidental music from the show was written by two chaps in Leeds. It's a wonderful comforting soundtrack that will take you back to those carefree days of watching telly and playing. And now those nice folks at Finders Keepers have re-issued it so dads can get emotional and play it to their uninterested children.
