Alexander Tucker
Guild Of The Asbestos Weaver

Alexander Tucker  - once bearded but last time I looked no beard at all  - has for many years made some thrilling music both solo and as one half of Grumbling Fur. This latest work sees him exploring the depths of cosmic psychedelia and hallucinogenic electronics. Music you'd think you'd need a beard for but Tucker is always a musician ready for a surprise.

Don't Look Away

Don’t Look Away completes the trio of LPs that the Grumbling Fur's Alexander Tucker started with 2011’s Dorwytch. It’s a record of whimsical, finely-crafted, Brian Eno-esque pop. Factory Floor's Nik Void guests on the hypnotic, droning 'Gloops Void (Give It Up)'. This one's out via Thrill Jockey.

Charlemagne Palestine & Grumbling Fur Time Machine Orchestra
Omminggg & Schlomminggg

Eccentric legend of minimalism Charlemagne Palestine teams up with experimental pop duo Grumbling Fur (in their extra-experimental Time Machine Orchestra mode) for a second time on Omminggg & Schlomminggg, which was recorded in front of a live audience in Copenhagen last year. Piano, strings, vocals and assorted electronics dance slowly together in a beautiful ever-growing drone soundscape. Double LP on Important Records.

Alexander Tucker

Vinyl release for Alexander Tucker's debut solo album (originally released in 2005). Tucker's musical background is varied, starting off in the early 90s with hardcore band Suction, then briefly joining Detroit stoner rockers Fuxa before settling into his niche as a solo artist. His eclectic background is audible here, with loops and pedal effects blending with electronica and haunting vocals. Limited to just 500 copies.
