2562
The New Today

2562's first record in two years, The New Today is some no nonsense Dutch booty shaker. Filling his boots with techno, house, electro and other euro junk. There something for everyone here - trippy synths, endlessly endless drum machines and wacky production. Out on vinyl and CD on his own label When In Doubt. It is wel...view item »

2562
Embrace/ Hijack

2562 makes an appearance on chum Martyn's 3024 label. What is it with the numbers. It confuses me. Anyway on first listen I almost fell asleep with total boredom but on second spin 'Embrace' isn't quite as dull as I'd initially thought. The beats are that garage/dubstep hybrid and there's some dubby sounds and chords/ stabs. It's not unlike Martyn ...view item »

Martyn/ 2562
Yet/ Kontrol

Martyn up now, dubstep pickers. He's a split with 2562 out through the esteemed Tectonic. This is the new "plates" split series, now on the more DJ friendly 12" format. This cut titled 'Yet' reminds me more of the current Bristol sound where a steppy beat carries a broodingly cool bassline along, mixing up liquid funk shades with a s...view item »

Various (Vex'd, Joker, 2562, Skream etc.)
Dark Matter: Multiverse 2004-2009

We only noticed something new was seriously happening on the electronic landscape when these 12"s starting creeping in around 2004, the more "IDM" and crunchy electro sounds being replaced by harder, more whipcracking breakbeats, and infused with bowel worrying bass. Tough club tunes that carried the dystopian sternness of the Rephlex endors...view item »
