Let’s Go Extinct

Sources close to the band believe that Fan Farlo’s third album Let’s Go Extinct is the real follow-up to their highly celebrated debut, Reservoir and that they may just have made the best record that they could possibly make….ever! Let’s Go Extinct is available on indie...view item »

Rooms Filled With Light

On Rooms Filled with Light I think Fanfarlo has successfully moved away from Arcade Fire / Belle and Sebastian references and managed to create a unique sound that recalls the freshness of New Wave 80s pop. I put this a step above Reservoir, as good as that album was, because Fanfarlo have now found the breadth and maturity to step out of the ra...view item »

Drowning Men/Sand and Ice

Fanfalo are epic! I mean big! Like STRINGS big! 'Drowning men' man is the first single from debut long player ‘Reservoir’ and is available via the moshi moshi singles club. It's a lean, mean single in the vein of Coldplay, Editors and those other groups that use future indie-rock production to make them sound real famous in the monitors. It's a...view item »

This sounds somewhere between Gorky's in their mellower moments and Goldrush. At times the singers voice sounds a bit like that Zach chap from ...view item »

Talking Backwards

It's nice to have labels like Fortuna Pop still going in this day and age. For years they've been tireless releasing quality (and probably reasonably unfashionable) indie music and they're still at it.  I'd have given up the goose a long time ago but they're still there doing what they believe in. Brilliant. This new 7" by ...view item »
