Amato & Adriani
Presence Du Futur

Two hardened techno veterans in the shape of Michael Amato (a.k.a. The Hacker) and Alessandro Adriani turn a casual friendship into a professional relationship on this compelling four-track EP Presence Du Futur. Fusing old-school influences with modern ideas, it includes a collab with Cabaret Voltaire’s Stephen Mallinder.

Alessandro Adriani
Montagne Trasparenti

Originally released via Monofonus Press back in 2016, Alessandro Adriani now reissues his Montagne Trasparenti LP via his own Mannequin Records (Tropic Of Cancer, JASSS). Adriani has become one of the foremost figures in European minimal synth/dystopian electronics/whatever you call it in the years since Montagne Trasparenti first surfaced, and his rep is due in no small part to this excellent album. Sometimes Italians really do Do It Better, you know.

Fuoco (Silent Servant Remix)

Silent Servant and Alessandro Adriani make perfect sense as a pairing. Indeed, it’s somewhat surprising that they don’t get together more frequently. This EP sees Adriani’s 2016 tune ‘Fuoco’ given a right good going over by the LA producer, with Silent Servant doubling down on the industrial EBM vibe of the original. The Fuoco EP also comes with a special extended version of the title track courtesy of Adriani himself. Lovely old job.

Alessandro Adriani
Morphic Dreams

Alessandro Adriani sure does keep busy. As well as running the excellent Mannequin Records, Adriani also cranks out wedges of prime industrial electronics at an impressive clip. His sophomore LP Morphic Dreams finds Adriani back on Stroboscopic Artefacts (Efdemin, L.B. Dub Corp) and running his usual gauntlet of electro, minimal wave, industrial techno and Gothic post-punk.

Alessandro Adriani

Mannequin Records big boy Alessandro Adriani is soon to drop his second LP Morphic Dreams through Lucy’s Stroboscopic Artefacts. He’s limbering up for the full-length with Embryo, an EP that features a collaboration with Beau Wanzer. Beau Wanzer or no Wanzer, these tracks are yet further examples of Adriani’s superb darkside Italo-techno style. Embryo cuts like ‘Symmetry’ are freakbeat as crafted by demons.

Enter The Fire

Mannequin Records founder Alessandro Adriani teams up with Stroboscopic Artefacts (Perc, Lucy and Klock) for this four-track EP. Enter The Fire is full of the kind of tense, dense dancefloor fugs that Adriani and Mannequin have become known for these past couple of years. The industrialised acid of ‘Rituals (707 EBM Version)’ is particularly relentless. On the B-side we see Adriani trying dub-techno - the ‘Original 808 Version’ of ‘Rituals’ is a treat.

Alessandro Adriani

The night never ends in the murky Mannequin Records basement, and Alessandro Adriani is more than happy with his perpetual residency in the dark room, twisting out throbbing monosynth basslines and jacking rhythms for the chains and leather brigade. Across all three tracks on this new 12” the mood stays intense and sleazy, peaking with the noirish closer “You Never Sleep”.

Alessandro Adriani
Crow / White Swan

Entirely massive and actually epic electro music from Alessandro Adriani, plus remix support from Mick Wills. White Swan and its remixed partner Crow (the original version hasn’t even been released yet) are both equipped with big, 80’s reverbing drums and skyscraper synths. 12” out on Mannequin, as part of their ‘Death Of The Machines’ series.
