Drake
Scorpion

Drizzy/Champagne Papi/October’s Very Own/Aubrey Graham/Wheelchair Jimmy/Drake continues to dominate the world of pop with a polite ruthlessness. His fifth LP Scorpion comes out at just the right time to jack the momentum Kanye West has built up this past month. This thing is 25 tracks long (!) and has guest spots from Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z and - somehow - Michael Jackson.

If Your Reading This You're Too Late

If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is either an album or a mixtape, but whatever it is, it grabbed the whole internet’s attention when it suddenly dropped without warning last year. Drake can certainly play the game. Now this high-grade release gets pressed to wax for a double LP issue on Island.

Drake & Future
What A Time To Be Alive

Instantly memorable as much as it was unexpected, the highly quotable collaboration between two hip-hop juggernauts makes its way to the vinyl format just over a year after its 2015 release. Toronto’s Drake flew out to Future’s Atlanta base and with just under a week together in the studio, the pair churned out a victory lap record executive-produced by their respective wingmen 40 and Metro Boomin. With Boomin on most of the instrumentals, it’s very clear Future’s on home turf though both rappers thrive across the LP’s over-the-top boasts and beats. Closing out the record, “Jersey” and “30 for 30 Freestyle” see both artists show off their signature sound as solo rounds.

Brotzmann / Parker / Drake
Song Sentimentale

It's always a good time for Brötzmann, especially when the old sax-man is playing with the unbeatable rhythm section of William Parker and Hamid Drake. Totally intuitive and highly inventive interplay is the name of the game. The sounds of Song Sentimentale were recorded live in front of a rapt audience at London’s Cafe Oto last year: the record is released by Oto’s own Otoroku label.
