HIDE
Hell Is Here

Hell is Here is the second album by Chicago band, Hide. The duo of artists, Heather Gabel and Seth Sher, have a mission to reconstruct industrial music for a new generation. Their mission began with 2018’s debut, Castration Anxiety, and here, they succeed in stretching the possibilities of what can be done even further.

HIDE
Castration Anxiety

Dais Records give us the first LP of brutalised avant-pop from Chicago’s HIDE. Percussionist Seth Sher and visual artist Heather Gabel have crafted seven tracks of dark, intense industrialism here. The likes of ‘Wildfire’ manage to sound like both ‘Machine Gun’-era Portishead and ‘Wandering Star’-era Portishead simultaneously. Other sonic touchstones include Amnesia Scanner and Belief Defect. If HIDE were good enough for Marilyn Manson to take on his Pale Emperor tour, then they’re probably good enough for you.

HIDE
Flesh For The Living

On the wonderfully titled Flesh For The Living artist Heather Gabel and musician Seth Sher have joined up as HIDE. Together they produce industrial drone made for basement sound-systems, with suitably disturbing H.P. Lovecraft-inspired artwork. They make a pleasantly bleak racket that's all very sinister.
