Have Some Faith In Magic

Looks like Reverb Worship and Rock Action have something in common - they both have little to no interest in press releases, hence I'm short on background information to explain the recent transformation in the work of Scottish post-rockers Errors. These lads have always been a good band ...view item »

Salut! France!

Moving swiftly on to the ERRORS 'Salut France!' 7" as I'm in danger of wandering into extreme waffle territory. This is a quirky electro track with some guitar underneath the sharp beats and a cool little melody. The bassline is a catchy one too. Flipside 'Maeve Binchy' is more of the same with it's playful twinklie melodi...view item »

Pleasure Palaces

Errors return with a new LP and little in the way of press info to explain what they've been up to since the last release let only how they ended up sounding so much like Washed Out. Yep, looks like Errors - the post-rock band it's OK to like, have gone all dance-pop oriented. Weather it'...view item »

Lease Of Life

Glaswegian "post-electro" trio Errors return with their fifth LP Lease Of Life via Mogwai's Rock Action Records. If the title track is anything to go by, expect a predilection for more arpeggiated synths and plenty of layers, alongside sounds the band haven't previously toyed with until n...view item »

New Relics

The last Errors album ‘Have Some Faith In Magic’ was a pleasing step up for the Glasgow post-electro-pop rockers and I guess they’re just going with the momentum because here’s a brand new eight-song mini-album les...view item »

A Rumour In Africa

I've been enjoying the recent Errors stuff as they have departed a little from a standardised post-rock sound and deviated into more upbeat, disco/Krautrock territory. 'Rumour in Africa' sounds like mid era New Order type indie disco number with those thin guitar lines and heavy synth lines. B-side 'Beat the Bookies' is a little more brooding ...view item »

Errors
Magna Encarta

Under whelming electro rock from these Glasgow based synth lads. Not electro rock in the Killers sense. I guess its not too bad really. It has a krautrock feel to it that's quite edifying. It's quite glitchy sounding which will have nerds every where spunking over there oft fingered copy of Sound On Sound. It's not too bad just a wee bit unmemor...view item »

Come Down With Me

Errors are back with their second album of their hearty brand of electro-rock-pop. It's all good credible fun really and I'm sort of diggin' parts of the record. Particularly some of the Skanfrom type synth stuff but there can be the occasional bit that just manages to avoid the dark side of Cheeseville. Some classy disco moments on here that I cou...view item »

It’s Not Something But It Is Like Whatever

OK I finally get to hear some Errors stuff. I'm not massively familiar with their gear. I'm sure I've heard it before but I can't remember... We hear a lot of music but it never bodes well for me when I don't remember something. 'It's Not Something But It Is Like Whatever...view item »

Toes/Period Drama

It seems like ages since I heard anything by Errors. In between eating deep fried cream eggs this Glaswegian bunch are back on the case with a 7" called 'Toes' which precedes the forthcoming debut LP for Rock Action. I seem to remember the last 7" was a bit more electronic sounding. There's a bit of a kraut rock thing happening in the rep...view item »

Pump

It's funny when people describe farts as 'pumps' isn't it, always makes me laugh. I'm not sure if it's better or worse than 'fluffs' though, I think they're probably about on the same level.. 'Rudie bangers' is top of the heap though, no bloody danger. So the title on this Errors 7" is just a little bit worse than if they'd called it 'Rudie Ba...view item »

How Clean Is Your Acid House?

Errors are Stuart from Mogwai's favouritist band ever. I'm a little confused by them. They make post rock with varying degrees electronics. Not a new concept, certainly but there's an uptempo pop tip to this group, They kind of remind me of bands like The Egg,  but other tracks have a little 65 days Of Static wi...view item »
